Membership

The World Molecular Imaging Society (WMIS) was established in 2011 by integrating the Academy of Molecular Imaging and the Society for Molecular Imaging into a single streamlined society focused on advancing the field of molecular imaging (MI). Our goal is to drive the acceptance and innovation of multimodal molecular imaging as a critical tool for discovery, preclinical, translational and clinical studies.

All WMIS members receive the journal of WMIS, Molecular Imaging and Biology six times a year, the annual conference Program Book and a reduced registration fee for the annual conference and workshops during the year.

Not a current WMIS member but interested in membership?

General Member – $250

Trainee Member – $125: Trainee members include graduate students, postdoctoral researchers (up to 3 years from their post-graduate degree (PhD and/or MD), medical residents, and those in a fellowship program (Must upload verification of status when joining or renewing membership).

Technologist Member – $150: Technologist is defined as someone working within the field of molecular imaging, who is not a trainee member, post-doc, or medical resident, and who does not hold a PhD or MD (Must upload verification of status when joining or renewing membership).

*Trainees include graduate students, fellows, post-docs and residents. Trainees must upload verification of status when they register, or send via email before their registration will be accepted at the trainee rate.

**Technologists are defined as people working within the field of molecular imaging who are not students, fellows, post-docs or residents and who do not hold a PhD or an MD. Technologists must upload verification of their status, or send via email before their registration will be accepted at the technologist rate.
