The Sam and Aruna Gambhir What If Fund is aimed at preserving the innovative spirit of both Sam and Aruna while supporting early-stage researchers.
Our primary goals with the What If Fund are twofold. Firstly, we aim to keep the pioneering vision of Sam and Aruna alive by fostering innovation within our community. By providing resources, mentorship, and a platform for collaboration, we strive to nurture groundbreaking ideas that push boundaries in Molecular Imaging.
Secondly, we are committed to providing financial support to promising early-stage researchers who demonstrate exceptional potential. Through our fund, we aim to empower these individuals by offering them travel funds and other resources to pursue their research projects and contribute to innovative scientific advancements.
By combining the legacy of Sam and Aruna, two renowned pioneers in molecular imaging, with the contributions from individuals like yourself, we hope to promote innovation in molecular imaging.
Each year the WMIS Awards committee will allocate funds from the Sam and Aruna Gambhir What If Fund to young innovative minds in our community. At each WMIC, we will report on the success and how the funds are being applied.
