ABOUT MOMIL
The Managers of Molecular Imaging Laboratories (MOMIL), Affinity Group of The World Molecular Imaging Society, is focused on connecting individuals who have the primary responsibility of operating molecular imaging laboratories that may be research laboratories, facilities that support groups of researchers, or service organizations. Our mission is to globally advance, synergize, and bring together the management of molecular imaging laboratories.
The MOMIL Affinity Group is focused on technical issues in molecular imaging laboratories, including:
- Types of imaging instruments
- Maintenance and calibration methods
- Standard operating procedures
- Training documents
Mission Statement
To globally advance the management of molecular imaging laboratories.
This Interest Group is designed for individuals who are responsible for the operation of molecular imaging instrumentation in individual research laboratories, facilities that support groups of researchers, or service organizations.
Strategic Directions
- Foster the implementation and maintenance of molecular imaging resources in academia, industry, and other research institutions. Increasing the number of molecular imaging resources in the global research community.
- Foster the use of molecular imaging in research studies that are directed by investigators who have a primary research focus in areas other than molecular imaging (i.e., “non-imaging” research investigators who want to employ molecular imaging)
- Providing the industry perspective on management of molecular imaging laboratories, facilities and service organizations.
