About Course

Publications are essential for conveying molecular imaging research throughout our community. Molecular Imaging and Biology (MIB) is the official journal for the World Molecular Imaging Society, and is an ideal choice for molecular imaging publications. A critical step of the publication process is the review of manuscripts submitted for consideration for publication.
At this session, we invite the Early Professionals in Molecular Imaging to join the reviewer pool and become outstanding reviewers. Among the many benefits, reviewing manuscripts can provide insights about how to write great manuscripts for consideration for publication in MIB. In addition, reviewing manuscripts is a great opportunity to guide the future of molecular imaging.
This session will initially explain the mechanics of the review process. Then the session will hold a panel discussion with experienced reviewers for MIB. This highly interactive discussion will include questions and comments from the audience. The learning objectives include:

  • Understand the mechanics of the review process
  • Identify strategies for efficiently completing a thorough review
  • Obtain guidance from experienced panelists about how to provide recommendations that facilitate the review and support the publication process
