Volunteer Opportunities
This year, we are giving you the opportunity to participate in our annual meeting by applying to be a Reviewer, Session Moderator, or Onsite Volunteer. Please see the information below for a guide on beginning the application process.
The following are responsibilities for each volunteer position; choose which is the best fit for you. After submitting your application, if you are selected to be a volunteer, you will be sent an email with further instructions.
Reviewer
Reviewers must be available via the internet to review assigned abstracts in their area of expertise during the period of May to July 2023. The number of abstracts assigned to a reviewer will depend on the number of abstracts submitted for the category being reviewed. If you have questions, please submit to SpeakerInfo@wmis.org.
Session Moderator
Session Moderators will be paired to sessions according to their areas of expertise. Duties during the sessions include keeping time to ensure all speakers run on schedule, moderating questions from the audience, and assisting speakers as needed.
Onsite Volunteers
Onsite volunteers assist with greeting attendees, working the registration counter, answering attendee questions, and counting attendees in sessions. Onsite volunteers are utilized only a few hours at a time to allow them to attend sessions at the meeting.
