Help Open WMIC: Share How You Are Driving Discovery to Impact

This year, WMIS is opening the World Molecular Imaging Congress by celebrating the people behind the science — our attendees, speakers, trainees, clinicians, industry partners, interest group leaders, and global molecular imaging community.

The theme of this year’s meeting is “Driving Discovery to Impact.” To bring that theme to life, we are creating a special opening video featuring short clips from members of the WMIS community. We want to hear directly from you about how your work, research, collaborations, mentorship, technology, or clinical efforts are helping move molecular imaging forward.

Why We Are Doing This?

WMIS is a community built on discovery, visualization, translation, and impact. Every year, our Congress brings together people working across disciplines, modalities, career stages, and countries to advance the future of molecular imaging.

This opening video is designed to show that impact does not come from one person, one institution, or one idea alone. It comes from the collective work of our global community.

By sharing your voice, you will help us tell the story of how WMIS members are driving discovery into real-world impact — from early scientific breakthroughs to clinical translation, patient care, new technologies, theranostics, education, collaboration, and the next generation of imaging leaders.

What Should I Say?

Begin your video with:

“I am driving discovery to impact by…”

Your response should be brief — ideally 5 to 15 secondsand should describe how your work contributes to the field of molecular imaging.

You can focus on your research, your clinical work, your technology development, your teaching, your mentorship, your collaborations, your role in industry, or your vision for the future of the field.

Example Responses:

There is no single right answer. We want your authentic voice and your personal connection to the theme.

FAQS
How will the video be used?

Selected clips will be edited together and presented during the WMIC 2026 Opening Ceremony on September 8, 2026.

Submitted videos may also be considered for use in WMIS communications, including social media, website content, promotional materials, and future communications celebrating the WMIS community and the people advancing molecular imaging.

Submitting a video does not guarantee that it will be included. WMIS may edit, shorten, caption, combine, or reformat selected clips for clarity, length, and presentation.

No. A smartphone or computer camera is sufficient. Good lighting, clear sound, and a steady horizontal recording are the most important factors.

Members of the global molecular imaging community are welcome to submit. Priority may be given to WMIC attendees and members of the WMIS community.

Individual responses are preferred so that each clip remains clear, personal, and easy to incorporate into the final video.

Please submit one final video whenever possible. You may record several takes before choosing the version you would like to upload.

Yes, WMIS may identify selected participants by name, institution, country, or area of work in the final video or related communications.

Thank You for Being Part of the Story

Your work is a vital part of the WMIS story. Whether you are advancing basic discovery, developing new imaging tools, translating science into the clinic, supporting industry innovation, mentoring young investigators, or building collaborations across the field, your contribution matters.

Together, these voices will create a powerful opening message: WMIS is the global community driving discovery to impact.

Help us open WMIC by sharing your voice.

Recording Guidelines

Keep it short, clear, and natural.

01 - SETTING

Quiet location

Minimal background noise. A closed room works better than a hallway or lobby.

02 - FRAMING

Look at the camera

Speak directly to the lens, as of talking to a colleague across the table.

03 - LIGHT

Face a light source

Good lighting matters most – try facing a window or lamp, not a bright window behind you.

04 - ORIENTATION

Record horizontally

Landscape orientation whenever possible for the opening video edit.

05 - LENGTH

5-15 seconds

Short, clear, and energetic, outperforms long and rehearsed.

06 - DELIVERY

Skip the script

Begin with "I am driving discovery to impact by..." then speak naturally.
