Kick off WMIC 2026 with the EPMI Affinity Group for a fun morning run or walk through Salt Lake City!
Whether you’re a seasoned runner, trying your first 5K, or would rather enjoy the route at a walking pace, everyone is welcome. Choose the full 5K route or a shorter 3.2K option and start your WMIC experience alongside fellow members of the molecular imaging community.

Located immediately north of the main entrance of the Salt Palace Convention Center - approximately a 2 minute walk away.
Meet in the grass courtyard by 5:50 AM for instructions.

What to Expect
- A route featuring a mix of city sights, scenic park areas, and quieter trail surroundings
- A relaxed, community-focused atmosphere
- Run, walk, or combine the two — all ages and abilities are welcome
- Race your friends if you’d like, but this is a fun run first and official finish times will not be provided
- Water and snacks at the finish
- A chance to meet fellow WMIC attendees before the meeting gets underway
