The World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC) proudly celebrates the exceptional dedication to research demonstrated by emerging scientists. To recognize and support the future leaders in the field, the WMIC will sponsor the prestigious Young Investigator Award. This competition honors excellence in molecular imaging research, with the following prizes:
First Prize: $2,000 USD and an opportunity to present during the Closing Ceremony.
Runners-up: Two finalists will each receive $500 USD.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the Young Investigator Award, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Application Deadline: Submit your application through the “Awards” step of the general abstract submission site before the general abstract deadline.
Note: If submitting a late-breaking abstract, you may apply via the late-breaking abstract submission site by the late-breaking deadline.
Applicant Status: Must be a young investigator (undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate student, postdoctoral fellow, or resident).
WMIS Membership: Must be a current student member of the World Molecular Imaging Society (WMIS).
First Author: Must be the first author of an accepted oral presentation.
Presenting Author Requirement: Must be the presenting author and available to present at the Closing Ceremony on the final day of the congress. Note: Awards will not be granted to those unable to personally present.
Curriculum Vitae: Submit your CV via the “Awards” step of the abstract submission site by the abstract deadline.
Letter of Recommendation: A Letter of Recommendation from a principal investigator must be submitted through the “Awards” step of the abstract submission site by the general abstract deadline. The letter should:
Be on official institution letterhead.
Confirm the applicant’s current status as a young investigator.
Include contact information for the principal investigator.
