The WMIS Early Professionals in Molecular Imaging (EPMI) Interest Group are excited to invite you to the WMIS Career Fair! The goal of the event is to connect professionals in the molecular imaging sciences with a variety of opportunities to advance their careers in molecular imaging.

We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate with a background in imaging science, chemical biology, cancer biology, magnetic resonance, or chemistry to undertake research in novel molecular imaging and theranostic probe development. The work will be undertaken in the laboratory of Robert Flavell at the state-of-the-art China Basin and Mission Bay campuses of UCSF. The focus of the research is on the development of novel molecular imaging probes, including magnetic resonance imaging probes using hyperpolarized 13C imaging, and theranostic probes for PET imaging and radionuclide therapy. University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW)
The neuroimaging laboratory of Dr. Nan Li at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) invites applications for several postdoctoral researcher positions. The N-LAB starts in April 2021 at the Advanced Imaging Research Center (AIRC), the Department of Neuroscience, and the O’Donnel Brain Institute at UTSW. Our mission is to develop novel molecular functional MRI methods to integrate molecular and system neuroscience and solve brain science problems. We are specifically interested in understanding the neural mechanisms of reward, decision, and motivation in rodent brains. With strong support from AIRC, the lab can access the most state-of-art resources for the preclinical small animal scanners (9.4T, 7T, 3T), PET, SPECT, and other imaging modalities.

Upon joining the event, you will be placed at a random table in the lobby (floor 1). You can change tables by double-clicking on any table with open seats.
Floor 1: once you are in the Remo event, we suggest turning on your camera and microphone.
All employers have at least one assigned table. The table name will be designated by the Employer Organization.
Networking: We strongly encourage attendees waiting for an open spot at an exhibitor table to visit another employer table and grow your professional network with others involved in the WMIS and EPMI!
Will I be able to share my resume or CV with exhibitors?
In order to share your resume or CV with our exhibitors, you will need to apply directly to the position on the WMIS Job Board
Am I required to have a resume or CV to attend the event?
No, you are free to talk with all attendees and learn about open positions whether or not you have a resume or CV.
Will Employer table discussions be timed?
Yes. You will be reminded to circulate every 15 minutes to ensure that everyone can visit the exhibitor tables that they are interested in, although we encourage you to circulate more frequently. The employers will remain at their tables for the duration of the event.
Can we use a virtual background?
Yes, but it is not recommended. It will require additional CPU and may cause your system to run slower. See this Remo help article for more information.
How can we message other event attendees?
There is a chat feature on the right-hand side of the screen. You can message all attendees, or search for a specific person.
What should I do while waiting for the employer tables to open up?
You can visit other employer tables, or network with other event attendees at a designated networking tables.
Will the discussions be recorded?
No, this event is purely focused on employer-attendee discussions and networking.
Where are the employers located?
All employer tables are located on floors 2 of the Remo event. You can switch floors by selecting the floor number on the left side of the floorplan.
How can I connect wih employers and other event attendees?
Remo offers you the option to create a profile or virtual business card. Be sure to complete this by clicking on your icon at the top right corner of the screen and selecting “My Profile”. You can view the profile of others by clicking on their icon at the table and connect on LinkedIn if the link was provided on their profile. Also, feel free to exchange contact information with other attendees at the networking tables.
The mission of the EPMI Interest Group is to create an inclusive community of early professionals in the field of molecular imaging that serve to foster the career development of its members and advocates on their behalf within the greater WMIS
The goals of the interest group are:
- To collaborate with other interest groups of the WMIS to offer year-round content to engage EPMI members
- To offer global networking opportunities for young scientists to engage one another and senior professionals
- To act as a conduit to facilitate career opportunities for young molecular imaging scientists
