Volunteer Opportunities
This year, we are giving you the opportunity to participate in our annual meeting by applying to be a Reviewer, Session Moderator, or Onsite Volunteer. Please see the information below for a guide on beginning the application process.
The following are responsibilities for each volunteer position; choose which is the best fit for you. After submitting your application, if you are selected to be a volunteer, you will be sent an email with further instructions.
Reviewer
Reviewers must be available via the internet to review assigned abstracts in their area of expertise during the rolling review period of January-July 2025. Reviewers may indicate dates when they are available to review. Reviewers will be assigned 1-15 abstracts in the category of their expertise as abstracts are submitted and will complete each review within a two-week time frame. Reviewers will be sent an email with each new assignment. If you have questions, please submit to SpeakerInfo@wmis.org.
Session Moderator
Session Moderators will be paired to sessions according to their areas of expertise. Duties during the sessions include keeping time to ensure all speakers run on schedule, moderating questions from the audience, and assisting speakers as needed. Moderator volunteer applications will be available closer to the conference.
Onsite Volunteers
Onsite volunteers assist with greeting attendees, working the registration counter, answering attendee questions, and counting attendees in sessions. Onsite volunteers are utilized only a few hours at a time to allow them to attend sessions at the meeting.
