Dear Colleagues and Friends,
On behalf of the World Molecular Imaging Society (WMIS), the Federation of Asian Societies for Molecular Imaging (FASMI), and the European Society of Molecular Imaging (ESMI), we would like to welcome you to Seoul, Korea for the 7th annual meeting of the World Molecular Imaging Congress (WMIC). Seoul is an exceptional meeting venue, with a dynamic mixture of high-technology conveniences and a rich cultural history. 2014 is an exciting year to hold our annual meeting in Seoul because molecular imaging has recently experienced rapid growth throughout Asia. Our annual meeting provides outstanding opportunities to connect with molecular imaging colleagues from Asia and world-wide.
Following the success of the WMIC 2013 meeting in Savannah, we have solicited your thoughtful comments and advice, and we are incorporating many suggestions into the program for the WMIC 2014 meeting in Seoul. For example, we will continue to include Panel Discussion Sessions to provide more provocative and collegial dialogue about the opportunities and challenges for molecular imaging. We will develop more opportunities for industry to contribute to the program beyond the exhibitor’s floor. We will also incorporate topics within our Spotlight Sessions that are emerging in our molecular imaging research community, especially in Asia. Based on your suggestions, we are sure that we will develop the best possible molecular imaging meeting in the world.
Our emerging generation of young molecular imaging scientists provides tremendous energy and enthusiasm to our World Molecular Imaging Society and we are designing the WMIC meeting program to recognize their enthusiasm. We plan to provide three young investigator awards, over 150 student travel stipends, and many poster awards.
We will soon announce our list of internationally renowned Plenary Speakers and session information. Keep checking the website for frequent updates about the program. Meanwhile, we look forward to receiving your additional suggestions as we shape the program for the WMIC 2014 meeting. See you in Seoul!
